We were impressed by the quality, however.Planning a visit to the “Happiest Place on Earth” and including a visit to Magic Kingdom’s Be Our Guest Restaurant is a Disney World rite of passage. Probably not, but mostly because the vegan choices were too sweet for our taste. The surprise sweet breads were the best part, although this made the meal quite heavy on starch and sugar, but still delicious! The fruit was a good sized portion with a nice variety. The waffles were the standard “allergy” (non-Mickey) waffles found elsewhere in the park. My husband (also vegan) and I were pleasantly surprised to each receive a plate of allergy-flagged slices of sweet breads.I asked the server if the loaves were vegan, after checking he told us that they were! The breads were from Erin McKenna Bakery NYC and included lemon cake with icing, a chocolate chip loaf, and a cinnamon sugar toasty loaf. This room is smaller, dark, and richly themed and even includes thunder, lightning, and a portrait that shifts from Prince to Beast. We paid and were given a magical rose, which would help our server find our table. I asked the Cast Member if the waffles were vegan, and she told us yes. Upon arriving, we were directed to the pre-order line. We pre-ordered waffles and fruit and hoped for the best! When checking off allergies for milk and eggs, an option for waffles and fruit appeared. We had planned to speak to a chef upon arrival, but noticed a pre-order option when logged into My Disney Experience. The regular adult menu did not have any vegan offerings, however, on the children’s menu, there is oatmeal offered with soymilk, which may be vegan. This is the only restaurant where you can find alcohol inside the Magic Kingdom. The cuisine is French themed and French wine and beer are available at dinner. During breakfast and lunch hours, Be Our Guest is quick-service, but functions as a table-service restaurant for dinner.
